Starting fresh!
Hi everyone,
I hope you are well and enjoying 2014 so far. I know it's been an incredibly long time since there has been any activity on my part for a number of reasons but I won't bore you with that. Having this blog is a way for me to reflect on my own behavior and personal experiences so that I can apply it to "the big picture", people other than just me. This means you! Whether you are trying to recover, hoping to recover, afraid to recover, you are in the right place. Whether you are a self injurer, have been in the past, care for or love someone who self injures, or if you're looking to learn more, you are also in the right place.
So my plan is to start fresh meaning new blogging platform, Wordpress, new email address for contacting me if you ever need to, but this blog will remain posted in case you want a past post. I'm working on the new blog now and I will have the link up. Wordpress is much more user friendly, it functions nicely, it makes commenting a breeze, it has a really nice feel. Also it works great on my phone so I can update easier.
The new blog will have the same title and will have the same content as before, my reflections and such, but I'm also going to add more links to resources, have themed posts, articles, videos, things like that. I want to make this a place where everyone, meaning self injurers/loved ones/friends/family can feel welcome and comfortable. Feel free to start conversation not only with me but with others as well. Ask questions, don't be shy. I want the environment to accommodate individuals who are seeking insight and information on self injury as well but they come second, if at any time people feel uncomfortable we can handle it no problem.
With that said I'm going to go work on this blog and get it going, you can expect regular updates from it. I'll post the link soon!
Stay safe,
-Emily
